This training explains the importance of departmental policies and documented inspections as well as addressing some simple, low-cost initiatives that all departments can utilize to reduce injury and liability exposures from summer activities.

DOUG WYSEMAN has worked in risk management for over 40 years. He is the president of Municipal Risk Services Limited which specializes in risk assessments of parks, recreational lands, and trails as well as the development and implementation of risk management initiatives. Doug has been called as an expert witness on a variety of parks liability matters, and has taught risk management for CPRA, NRPA and the College of the North Atlantic.
